Commitment to work with a minimum of three clients per week – evening sessions are available.

£30.00 per attended Session

BSARCS is expanding and is looking for qualified, experienced Counsellors to deliver sessional work in their busy town centre service.  At present however, all work is remote – online or by phone.

The work is with adult clients who have experienced sexual abuse at some time in their life.  We are looking for counsellors with an integrative, psychodynamic approach who can work with the clients in a trauma informed model.

BSARCS offers a range of multi-disciplinary support including advocacy, wellbeing, support through the justice process and group work.

Volunteer Trustee

BSARCS is Barnsley’s only specialist sexual violence agency, working with women, men, children and families.   BSARCS offers counselling, advocacy, support through the justice process and group work to 1700 people each year.

Due to expansion we have vacancies on our Board of Trustees.  No experience is needed but an interest in this area of work is a must.  Applications from individuals with experience in finance, business, law, HR, marketing, volunteering or lived experience of sexual abuse would be of real interest in helping us progress the next stages of the agency’s development.
