We are currently recruiting for the following:

Therapeutic Wellbeing Workers

BSARCS works with children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse. We also work with children and young people who have been impacted by sexual abuse but have not directly experienced this. We deliver our services in a trauma informed way, working collaboratively with parents, carers and professionals involved with our clients. Due to a substantial increase in demand for services, we are developing a Children’s Wellbeing Service to complement our advocacy and therapy service.

We are looking for:

Therapeutic Wellbeing Workers £25,440 – £27,123 (pro-rata)

 Fixed term initially to March 2022 subject to further funding

Posts available – 2 x full time workers (37 hours per week)

and

 1 x part time worker (up to 24 hours per week)  

to provide 1:1 support to children/young people through direct intervention, to plan and facilitate group work with children/young people, parents/carers and professionals, follow a trauma informed practice approach and work collaboratively with parents/carers and other professionals.

People with a background in working with vulnerable children/young people and their families who have an awareness of therapeutic interventions would be particularly suited to this role.

Closing date – 2nd December 2019.

Bank Therapist for Children and Young People.

Barnsley Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Services are looking for suitably qualified bank therapists to provide safe and effective post-abuse therapeutic interventions to children and young people.  Experience of working therapeutically with children and young people is essential.  You should have recent trauma therapy experience in this specialist area.

Several therapists’ roles are available.  BSARCS offers a range of multi-disciplinary support including advocacy, wellbeing, support through the justice process and group work.

£60.00 per session to include all necessary recording/reports. Commitment to work with a minimum of three clients per week and evening sessions are available.
