How Sexual Harm Impacts Domestic Abuse Experiences and Recovery

This course is aimed at Barnsley professionals who, this course will take place on zoom, all zoom invites will be emailed approx. 1 week prior to the training taking place.
This training course is an interactive session looking at the impact of sexual harm. With particular emphasis on the impact of child sexual abuse on later victimisation and the experience of further sexual harm within a domestic abuse context. The session will include input around how practitioners can support recovery and progress.
The aims of the session:
- Understand the impact of Child Sexual abuse on adult relationships
- Develop an understanding of the impact of sexual harm which occurs in domestic abuse relationships
- Describe the impact upon victims/survivors who experience sexual abuse within an intimate partner relationship
- Identify what works in response to supporting individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence

When will there be a cost for training?
Please note Barnsley Council has covered the cost for several training courses that we offer, therefore if you register for our training and are from outside the Barnsley area we will contact you to discuss the training cost.
£25 per person for half day and £50 per person for a full day training session.
Your agency might support you with the costs of training courses like ours. Many agencies have a training budget, and our courses are widely recognised as valuable professional development.
If you are self-employed this course will be chargeable at the above rates.
