BSARCS Open Day – Come and Meet Us!

Would you like to find out more about the support and services available through BSARCS?

We’re delighted to invite professionals from across Barnsley to come along to our BSARCS Open Day, taking place from 10am–1pm.

This is an opportunity to come and have a look around our training and accessible space, meet members of our team, learn more about our frontline services and find out how we can support the people you work with.

What can you expect?

The Open Day is an opportunity to drop in, explore our services and meet the team at a time that suits you between 10am and 1pm.

You can come along at the start of the morning, spend some time finding out about BSARCS and meeting the team, stay for our practical workshop, and then continue to explore the service afterwards — or simply join us after the workshop.

🕚 Service & Trauma-Informed Practical Workshop – 11am

At 11am, we will be holding a Service and Trauma-Informed Practical Workshop in our group room.

The workshop will last approximately one hour and will include:

• An overview of BSARCS, our services and the support we provide.
• An introduction to our trauma-informed approach and why this is important when working with people who may have experienced sexual harm.
• An opportunity to learn and practise some hands-on trauma stabilisation techniques that can be used to support emotional regulation and create a greater sense of safety.
• Time to ask questions and consider how trauma-informed approaches can be incorporated into your own practice.

The workshop will take place in our accessible space, giving you the opportunity to see the environment where some of our work and group sessions take place.

You don’t need to arrive at 11am to attend the Open Day. The wider event runs from 10am–1pm, so you can visit before the workshop, stay afterwards, or come along for any part of the morning that works for you.

After the workshop, you will have the opportunity to visit our main office building and meet members of our staff team.

Our teams are looking forward to meeting professionals from across Barnsley, sharing more about the work we do with women, men and children, and answering your questions about our services, referrals and how we can work together to support people affected by sexual harm.

Whether you are already familiar with BSARCS or have never worked with us before, we’d love to see you!

We are based in Barnsley Town Centre, close to the main Post Office.
